London fogcutter

An honorary mention for the Tiki Bar... and Lala (one of the presenters) in particular. Tiki Bar TV is a video podcast... ah, first principles for some readers...

Podcasts are essentially radio shows that you can subscribe to through applications like iTunes: whenever you connect to the internet the latest episode of the show is downloaded to your PC and to your iPod if you have one. That way you can listen to the show whenever you want.

Video podcasts take this to the next level and are mini videos that can be subscribed to and played in the same way, especially if you have one of the new video-capable iPods. The great thing about audio and video podcasts is that anyone with a small amount of kit can create and distribute these things. Campy FM going global anyone?

Tiki Bar TV is one such video podcast; I've only seen one episode so far where they teach you how to mix a 'London fogcutter' cocktail, hence the honorary mention here, but I think I could become hooked. If you've got iTunes (the latest version 6) and a broadband connection hop over to the iTunes Music Store and look for it within the Podcasts section. The London Fogcutter episode is hilarious.

I can't podcast, I won't download iTunes, and I don't know much about Carnival. But I FINALLY linked you. :)

Only you... once upon a time there was a shining box in the corner of the room that looked like a typewriter...
